Steamboat #4 "Top Places to Live"

Once again I read some news that tells me what I already know. Steamboat is a GREAT place to live! And if you couldn't tell from just being here or feeling it, American Cowboy magazine discards any doubt by naming Steamboat Springs as #4 in the "Top 20 Places to Live in the West- 2008." The full article and details will be printed in their upcoming April/May issue.

That's right, American Cowboy has chosen little 'ol Steamboat Springs as their #4 pick based on things like authentic cowboy culture and charm as well as "rugged independence." Scanning the list of who else was chosen I should also point out that Steamboat is the top pick in Colorado! Words like "free spirited" and "Western charm" are used to describe this year's towns that made the Top 20.

To see Steamboat ranked so high is just one more reminder that the reasons I moved here over 20 years ago and have stayed this long have not diminished. But let's face it, I didn't need a magazine article to tell me something I already knew! (but it's nice to read)...
